Grantham Junior Open Tournament

The Grantham Junior Open was held for its fourth year. Sanctioned by the LTA, it attracted players not only from the Grantham area and the rest of Lincolnshire but also from surrounding counties and even from abroad. Its aim is to provide top class competition played at the highest level while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This year's event saw not only the traditional boys and girl's events for ages 8 to 18 but also included a mens and ladies category and a Mini Green Doubles event.
The Grantham Junior Open Tournament was awarded Grade 3 tournament status for the first time and we saw a great range of tennis being played by players from all around the country. This year we attracted over 200 players with over 300 competitors!
Key points to note:
- the tournament dates for this year were 8 August to 13 August inclusive
- Peter Greatorix, top class experienced referee, will be officiated
- the Tournament Committee meets regularly
